RUMORS

A Comedy by Neil Simon

GARVIN THEATRE
JULY 11 - 26, 2008

RUMORS is Neil Simon's comedy of a tenth wedding anniversary party that goes horribly and hilariously wrong. Four couples arrive at the townhouse of a deputy New York City mayor and his wife, but before the festivities can even begin, the host manages to shoot himself in the head (Don't worry, it's only a flesh wound) and his wife disappears. His lawyer's cover-up gets progressively more difficult to sustain as guests arrive and nobody can remember who has been told what about whom. It's Neil Simon at his comic best. The New York Post called it "light, frothy fun" and the New York Times said that Simon "has nothing on his mind except making the audience laugh".
